Required competence
A Bachelor of Engineering or Computer Science Or Telecom or Equivalent, plus at least One to Ten years of telecommunications / IT experience.
Hands-on experience in Integration/ technical trouble shooting on OSS/NMS solutions.
Good knowledge of Unix /Solaris/HP Unix/ Linux .
Basic understanding of VERITAS Volume Manager and Cluster solutions.
Basic knowledge in SYBASE ASE Or SYBASE IQ (Data ware house Solutions).
Good understanding of writing Shell / Perl scripting .
Basic understanding of different RAID implementation.
Good command in handling server’s hardware.
Basic knowledge of GSM network architecture.
Should have good understanding of IP/ Networking,
To lead and execute the implementation of new software releases.
Should have good knowledge on OSS/NMS Fault, Performance, Config Management applications.
Additional knowledge on Ethereal / Wire shark traces analysis will be added advantage.
Support on integration activities, customer adaptations, product customization.
Very good knowledge of OSS features within area of responsibility.
Writing documents for fault analysis along with required preventive and corrective actions.
Lead investigation teams for major traffic disturbances, complete system failures and problems impacting customer business. Work for emergency support.
